Hey fatty Jenny.... Oh crap!

As I mentioned in my "New year new me" post a few weeks ago, I joined Slimming world.

Now I have always been overweight...well, just plain old FAT! I have tried all the diets under the sun from Weight Watchers and Rosemary Conelly to Diet Chef. Even the VLCD (Very Low Calorie diet) such as Slimfast, Herbalife and Lighter Life.

I have had some successes, especially on Lighter Life where I lost a whopping 9 stone in just 9 months. The only problem is that I had to quit abruptly due to some not so pleasant side effects... which I am not at all saying were caused by the diet by any means.

Anyways...So I quit and gained all my weight back... BOOO!!!

So fat and fed up I joined Slimming World 6 months ago. It hasn't exactly gone to plan, not through any fault of the diet at all, but just because I don't think I was ready to make "THE CHANGE". But over the last couple weeks its been different. I have been more determined to not only eat better, but to make better choices. Not that I am perfect by any means but I am learning. And 8 lbs off in the last 2 weeks means ITS WORKING!!!! HURRAH *Crowd cheering*

So... some of you may be thinking "What is it". It isn't your normal weight loss diet. Theres no Calorie counting, no cutting out of carbs, or fruit and minimal weighing/measuring (Most of that happen on group day when you get on the scales). Its a normal healthy eating plan.

To explain more easily you can eat all you want when it comes to lean meats, poultry, fresh fruit/veg and fat free yogurt. the rest is counted as SYNS and you are allowed up to 15 of them a day.

So... if loosing weight is something you want to do, in my opinion, I would suggest contacting your local Slimming World rep for more information.

Makeup Optional set by Philosophy

What can I say about Philosophy? I don't have a lot of experience with their products, but what I have used I love... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!
My mum picked this up for me for Christmas, along with the Margarita 3 in 1 Shower gel, which I will review another day. Now onto the review.....

As I said before, I have become a great lover of Philosophy since using this. The whole package is AMAZING!. Just look at the packaging. Simple yet effective. It even explains whats in the box and what its for. I love how it goes through each product. Much more interesting than just a boring old list... Don't you think?

Anyway, Now for the actual products.

The set comes with 5 products in total: Purity Made Simple (Cleanser), When Hope is not Enough (Oil free serum), Hope in a Jar (moisturiser), Hope in a Tube (eye and lip cream) and The Micro delivery Peel.
First up - Purity Made Simple (Cleanser)...

This is a lovely cleanser, in fact, the best one I have used. Its a really light and creamy substance & smells really nice and fresh. When you put it in your hands and rub them together and on your face you don't get any foam, but you get a lovely clean feel to your face. When you wash it off, you are not left with that skin pulling light feeling, oh no, not with this one. Just moisturised clean goodness. All I do is remove my eye makeup with my Nivea Facial wipes and wash with this and off I go onto the next step...

When Hope is not enough (Oil free serum)

OMG! This stuff is AMAZING!. It comes in a small bottle, with one of them glass vial things with a squeezy top so that you can get the product out of the bottle. Kind of like a turkey baster lol. Anyways, you only need a little of this stuff! Just2 drops on each cheek and one on your forehead is enough for your entire face and neck. According to the box, you can add 5-6 drops of the serum to their Turbo Booster C Powder, but only in the AM. Once I have finished that, I move onto the next step...
Hope in a Jar (Moisturiser)

This stuff is so strange... Brilliant, but strange. In the pot it looks like a thick white cream, but when you touch it its completely different, almost like a thick water, if that makes any sense what so ever.

When you put it on its cooling, like rubbing that thick cool water on your face, but when it starts to soak in its super moisturising and creamy. Amazing!

Lastly...

Hope in a tube (Eye and lip firming cream)

Now, what can be said about this stuff apart from its lovely. This, just like the others is brilliant. Its like a very thick, moisturising cream. All I do is put a dot on the outer corner of each eye and a few dots round my mouth and pat it around. This seems to have worked a treat on the fine lines round my mouth and eye area, not that I had many to begin with, but what I did have seem to have gone! Yahoo!

Then there is the Peel. I haven't had a chance to try these yet, but they say that you should use it first before cleansing and using the rest.

So, full verdict... EFFING BRILLIANT

Would I purchase?... HELL YES

A Sexy 5/5 from me. ;o)

MAC Wonder Woman collection

I love MAC makeup! I use at least one product of theirs a day whether it be their foundation or something as simple as their eyeliner pencil. There always has to be something. So when I heard about the WonderWoman collection I had to share it with you.

There seems to be a lot of buzz about this collection. Everything seems to be cased in the traditional Wonder Woman colours of Royal Blue, Yellow and Fire Engine Red.

The products include:
Lipsticks

Lipglass

Opulash Mascara in various colours (ooohhh coloured mascara)

Penultimate Liner

Nail Polish

Eyeshadow Quads

Pigments

Lashes
Blush &MSF

Makeup bags & Brush sets

I am excited for this collection! Unfortunatly us in the UK have to wait until some time in March before we can purchase the goodness that is the Wonder Womal Collection. (Those of you in the US can pick it up from Mid February).
Are you excited for this collection? Let me know your thoughts.

Tell Me....

I want to know what you all want to read about... So tell me! Comment and I will do my best to Post what you want, the way you want it!

Happy reading :o)

George Nail polish... Who knew...

Remove formatting from selectionWho knew that Asda/George did nail polish... I sure didn't! So when I noticed I did what any other self respecting beauty lover such as myself would do and purchased a few of the little buggers... 3 to be precise, and at just over £1 a pop you cant go wrong... or so I thought.

The colours I purchased are Indigo (a pretty dark blue/purple shade with matching sparkle), Magical (a coral shade) and Deceit (a gorgeous charcoal shade with silver sparkles).

Which brings me to my review today. Magical. Now I LOVE coral anything whether it be makeup or clothes related, so when I saw this pretty colour I had to purchase to give it a try!

In the bottle its a block shade with no sparkle. On its a really pretty shade, the only down side is the thickness of the formula. The below picture is 2 very thick coats and as you can see very thin and patchy in some areas, so not too sure on this one.

(2 coats of Magical)

So, onto the big question... Would I purchase again. Answer... Don't think so, not this colour anyway, but definitely open to trying the other colours I purchased, and if they are any good who knows? Maybe they will persuade me.

Rating...a not so brilliant 1/5
